Information on the Money Laundering Act

The Money Laundering Act (GWG) has been in force in Germany for several years. As obligated parties in accordance with § 2 (1) no. 14 GWG, we must comply with due diligence requirements.

This includes the identification of both parties to the contract, as soon as there is a serious interest in buying property. The identity of individual persons is verified by inspecting their identity card. A commercial register extract and possibly a list of shareholders is necessary in the case of companies or legal entities. Copies of the aforementioned documents are filed, and these documents are then kept for 5 years.

We are also obliged to check whether you are acting as our customer in your own economic interest or on behalf of a third party. In the latter case, the economic beneficiary must be specified and identified.
